  • Club Mahindra, Kodagu Valley Resort - Coorg

    December 10, 2007 – 1:50 pm

The six hours of drive to Coorg from the Bangalore airport, left us a tad exhausted, and I’m sure it must have bothered the minds of my fellow travelers - was the resort going to match to their expectations? I wondered if it would match my own expectations - I haven’t been to the resort myself, this was the first time!

To start with, we were in for a pleasant surprise. As we got down the van into the Club Mahindra Kodagu Valley Resort, what we saw was a sight for sore eyes. The well manicured garden, landscaping, and the ambient light set the mood right and gave us some relief from the journey.

Then there were some smartly dressed resort managers and executives at the entrance, waiting to greet us. Two smartly dressed, lovely ladies smeared our foreheads with cool sandalwood paste, and we were provided with a cool welcome drink (rightly named!).

Jayant John, the front office manager had planned our arrival well, and everything was smooth and systematic. After our welcome reception, we were handed our electronic swipe, room keys.
