TED is coming to India, and will be held at the Infosys campus, Mysore. TED, for the uninitiated, is short for Technology, Entertainment, Digital and is a series of conferences involving speakers of fame, reputation and exceptional achievement. Past speakers of TED have included distinguished personalities, the likes of former US President Bill Clinton, Google founders Larry Page & Sergei Brin, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Nobel Laureate James D. Watson.
TED defines its mission as “ideas worth spreading”, and in a sense is like Cerebrate – “sparking ideas”, except that Cerebrate is an un-conference.
By the way, TED India is looking for TED Fellows for the TED India Fellows program, and urges the masses to nominate members for this program. Mail in your nominations to fellows@ted.com.
Here is a video on the TED Fellows program on Youtube.
