Twilight - the auto tweeting software

Twilight – the auto tweeting software

For about a week I’ve been working on a software that tweets on my behalf. But why develop a software? Aren’t there options already? Necessity is the mother of invention. For one, the available options are either commercial or clunky and lacked some features I wanted. It also gave me the opportunity to brush up my programming skills (coding is my hobby, though I haven’t coded for a while now).

The software is called Twilight and it automates the task of Tweeting at regular intervals set by you or at random intervals. When you set Twilight to tweet at random intervals, you can also set the range of interval to be randomized (for e.g. 30 mins to 2 hours).

What is the primary advantage of Twilight? Automate the task of posting as many Tweets as you want without spamming/crowding your followers’ Twitter timelines.

Here is a snapshot of the application.

I’m planning to release a public version of Twilight soon and it will be FREE to use and distribute! If you can’t wait till the public release version of Twilight, you can request for a beta version at arun.n.nair@gmail.com

now this is eery. For one my psuedonym in the blog world. For another, I am helping alpha test a software which does exactly this, schedule tweets at regular intervals, the necessity of which again, came up due to the need to schedule tweets without spamming my followers. If you notice my stream, u’ll notice that software too.
